                         HELLO DECEMBER

Hello December, 

It's a special month!

The most awaited month of the year

Slowly, we wrap up with a cheer

Even as the end draws near.

Indeed, it's been a remarkable year

I'm sure you know from what I hear!

The songs, 

The jingles, 

The jamboree and tales all bear witness.

This is the moment we all waited for

The priceless ecstasy we always wished for.

A time of union and reunion

A time of love and peace

A time of joy and happiness,

With singing and dancing

Choruses of celebration 

We make merry and rejoice!

December!

A time to give and be given

To receive and be received

To share and to spend

To knock and to open

To ask and be asked

To answer and be answered

It's the season of Thanksgiving!

To praise and jubilate

To smile and to laugh

To party and lavish

To care less

With no selfishness 

All caught up in the euphoria of the Yuletide  readiness

Just before we get lost in this eagerness 

Don't forget...

It's the twelfth and final month

So much to count

So much to reflect

So much to review 

So much to rewrite!

And if you ever feel not so good about a thing,

Remember to Count your blessings,

Name them one by one 

And it will surprise you

What the Lord has done!

Just like the hymnist says.
