A Summer to Remember๐Ÿ’ƒ๐Ÿ’ƒ๐Ÿ’ฏ๐Ÿ’ฏ๐Ÿ’ฅ๐Ÿ’ฅ

๐Ÿ’ƒIt's summer already! I could hear the heartbeats of some mums racing harder and faster๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ˜€ Ironically, the children are super excited about the summer and even better prepared for it than their parents ๐Ÿ˜†

Now, I know some parents are prepared too and have booked flight tickets for their families to have a memorable summer this year but hey; not everyone can afford these luxuries, especially with the ongoing economic situation. I hear some mums already lamenting over how much money they will spend on meals and also the frequency of cooking would also increase once the children are home all day๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜„

Anyways, no matter what your situation might be, my candid opinion is that you should enjoy your summer anyway and anyhow. Yes, the house becomes noisy - enjoy it! and I have to do more shouting and much talking - enjoy it! Well, what about the chores? everywhere gets so messy in a jiffy even after much cleaning - enjoy it!

Yes, it may sound so unrealistic to say enjoy it but hey, what else could we possibly do than to enjoy ourselves with the beautiful gifts God gave us as kids? Now, my most candid opinion is this, in the midst of all these take a deep breath, sit back and cross your legs. Yes, that is exactly all you have to do. Sit down and enjoy the moment. Allow them to turn the house "upside-down", only ensure the environment is safe and there's food in the kitchen. Don't kill yourself please, the children need you hale and hearty. I'm talking from experience please ๐Ÿ’ฏ๐Ÿ’ฏ๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ˜€

Now, talking about food and the frequency of cooking a funny and dear friend of mine who happens to be a beautiful mum of three shared with me her simple logic during the holidays, especially with the current economic situation - cook beans! Her solution to the unending hunger pangs from her children is beans ๐Ÿค ๐Ÿค funny right? She says once she cooks the beans in the morning and the children eat, they could go the whole day just drinking water and at most crunching some biscuits. Really? Yes ๐Ÿ‘Š I really wish I could emulate that but my kids don't like beans as much๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ However, you could try it out to see if it works in your setting.

For house chores, as much as possible allow the children to handle the chores themselves. Simple tasks like washing dishes, sweeping, laying beds, washing napkins, and cleaning the furniture are only but a few things we could use to engage our kids this summer.

There are other fun activities you can have with your kids this summer. For examples painting and colouring family portrait challenges, family sports and exercising routine, planting fruits, and vegetables and nurturing them, cookery classes e.g making cakes, pizzas, and other pastries your children enjoy. The list is inexhaustible, you know๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜„

So how do you intend to engage your kids this summer? Please leave your comments below๐Ÿ‘‡ Thank you for your contributions, and enjoy the summer break with our jewels of inestimable value ๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿงก❤๐Ÿ’ƒ๐Ÿ’ฏ๐Ÿ’ฏ
